Mako Kuwabara

Mako Kuwabara Mako Kuwabara is a pianist and composer. Born in 1987, she graduated from the composition and conducting major (film music course) in Tokyo College of Music. She won many awards and had many performance experiences, including the Silver Prize in National Yamaha Electone Competition, and serving as the performer of arugo children’s musical. In her first year of senior high school, she was appointed as the composer of anime Joseito of Toei Animation. And her original work was selected as the repertoire of Yamaha Electone Competition. As a composer and arranger, her major work in recent time includes the op of Most Concerned TV Series 2014, Japanese TV drama Mysterious Transfer Student and Don’t Cry Tsutentaku, films Hana to Alice Satsujin Jiken and Far Away, So Close, Nestle’s mini film Under a Different Sky. Your Sky, My Sky, advertisements Muji Chocolate Effect, Toshiba Flash Air, Kitkat, drama Persona3 Series and Go West, etc. As a pianist, she took part in musicals Fantasies, Dracula, Spamalot, Bye-bye, Girl, stage show Oizumi Apartment, and conducted the orchestra in Yamazaki IkuSaburo’s concert. Moreover, she joined many projects as music assistant and singing director. With she as the music director, the film The Bride of Rip Van Winkle, will be released on March 26th in Japan. She found a group Hec & Pascal with Shunji Iwai and Kotone Fukazawa in 2013. Their original album Us, and Fish in the Pool are available for sale.
